As the name suggests, the artwork is based on the concept of life and death and the contrasting aspects of it. This artwork, when viewing, has the ability to ignite peace and fear simultaneously. The visual of people floating in the water with their eyes closed instils a sense of tranquility. However, the positioning of the hands is made to reflect that of a corpse when placed in a coffin which emphasises on the concept of death. The multiple bodies in the artwork are to portray the magnitude of death around the world
